We view safety as our ethical responsibility – building on trust, engagement and productivity with our team – and focusing on their capacity to be successful in varying conditions.
- Safety starts at the drawing board.
During our design phase, we include a risk analysis to note where workers and our install teams might encounter an unsafe situation. Then we review processes, equipment and work environments to make sure we’ve included every option that can prevent injuries; including egress, housekeeping and strategically staged work area capacity.
- Equipment considerations
We choose solutions partners that also focus on safety, from ergonomics to noise and heat levels. Our vendors maintain up to date knowledge of OSHA and ANSI safety standards to maintain the highest levels of product safety, even as trends and specifications shift.
- Employee engagement
Every job site is assigned a dedicated safety officer who oversees the team processes – everything from safe approach to trouble shooting to working in a live environment. Our crew includes an OSHA 30 trained mechanical team, site management teams, and mechanical and electrical supervisors.
- Increased productivity
We’re a close team, and our employees know that their safety is a top priority, particularly during site installs. Our pre-kitting process means that all equipment is sequenced according to the build-out to avoid congestion, slips, trips and falls. Our installs go up faster and more safely.
- Client engagement
All of our employees and contractors must complete both our client and our own internal safety orientation program. Our safety program is constantly reviewed and revised when necessary – we’re proactive and our clients appreciate our approach.
- Transparency is key
S&H has memberships with both Avetta and ISNetworld. Having a supply chain risk management solution ensures both S&H Systems and our clients’ safety, resilience and sustainability. Our customers have access and visibility to S&H Systems historical safety metrics such as: OSHA 300 logs, training certifications, EMR (Experience Modifier Rating) workers comp ratings, TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rates) and more. We’re proud of our ratings, and even more proud to keep everyone productive, engaged, and most importantly, safe.
When you need a partner for your next project, consider S&H Systems, and be assured your employees – and ours – will be at the center of our safety planning.
